I wanted to reinstall Windows on new hard disk due to error on erstwhile hard disk but recovery discs were not working . I tried recovery method twice and they were erroring out at 26% and 34% resp. Unfortunately installation discs were not provided at the time of purchase. So the only option I was left with was to get media and complete fresh installation.
Right now Phone activation option is not available.(SLUI). Microsoft activation team says key is blocked and asks me contact Sony whereas Sony support team directs me to Microsoft.
Please help me resolve the issue.
Steps :
1. Download 58997 iso from msft digital river (windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit with SP1) 2. Change laptop hard disk (all other settings viz bios, motherboard etc remain same) 3. Comlete installation 4.
